Radio frequency identification (RFID) is an exciting multidisciplinary field with numerous applications.
The 2018 IEEE International Conference on RFID is the premier conference for exchanging all technical research in RFID. The conference attendance boasts an outstanding mix of practitioners and researchers from industry and academia willing to both interact with technology professionals, gain new technical knowledge and share their findings.
The IEEE RFID conference is an opportunity to share, discuss, and witness research results in all areas of RFID technologies and their applications.
The conference seeks the highest quality research usually accepting about one-third of the papers submitted. Accepted authors benefit from disseminating their research to a mixed audience that is equal parts industry and academia.
IEEE RFID conferences are a global event, receiving submissions from around the globe.
The RFID 2017 conference received submissions from a wide range of countries:
44 % from North America
41 % from Europe
15 % from Asia and Australia
there were 32 technical presentations, 25 poster presentations and 161 conference registrants.
This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Auto-ID Labs
The Auto-ID Labs network is a research group in the field of RFID co-founded by Prof. Sanjay Sarma. The labs consist of seven research universities located on four different continents. These institutions were chosen to design the architecture for the Internet of Things together with EPCglobal.
